Word #22. Enjoy.

The origins of this word come from the Old French word, “enjoir” which means to “make joy.”

My mind has somehow skewed the meaning. I tend to think of “enjoying” as something I receive or take – as if it should happen to me.

I’d rather go back to its French roots. Today, I will make joy.

“Enjoy the weekend” takes on a whole new feeling.
