#7: Attention.

More precious than money or time, is your attention.

Your attention is precious. It is the portal to your mind, even your soul. It can be stolen or manipulated unless you tend carefully. Being mindful of how you spend your limited resource of attention is a practice. And one that ends up defining who you are.

Poet Mary Oliver said, “Attention is the beginning of devotion.” It may just be that what you pay most attention to is proof of what you are worshipping in this life. It matters that much.
