Word #77. Self-selection.
The strongest learning communities are made of people who desire being part of the group and feel proud to be there.
Desire leads to participation which leads to connection and commitment, even sacrifice.
“I choose this. I want to be a part of this. I’ll do what it takes to stay.” These words of self-selection are the glue that builds a tribe.
The freedom to opt out when it’s not working is important, too.
