Word #81. Fun.
You have a small group with a clearly defined purpose. They have chosen to be there and know their boundaries.
Now what?
Make it fun.
Laughter, play, intriguing challenges and rewarding game-like experiences are what make them want to come back. Life in community should be rich in fun. The learning naturally follows.
“Can we have school on Saturdays?” is one of my favorite questions from an Acton Eagle.
You can bring this idea home, too. Cleaning the house can be made into a game. Dinner can include surprises like making it “upside down day” and eating on the floor with dessert first. Surprise your children. Be the fun-maker and you’ll soon find your own spirit opening up and your inner child running free once again.
