First day of school photo. Weekly family game night. Memorial service. Daily morning greeting. Contract signing. Around the Sun birthday circle. Closing group mantra. Bedtime story. Nightly gratitude prayer.
The practice of ritual – at home and in the Acton studios – marks the transition of time and binds us together and to our inner selves. Rituals create a rosetta stone helping us interpret and find meaning in life’s experiences – be they tragic or joyous.
By participating in a ritual…you are being put in accord with the wisdom that is inherent within you. Your consciousness is being reminded of the wisdom of your own life. I think ritual is terribly important. – Joseph Campbell
